Requirements of naming a home business

I am going to join the chamber of commerce where I live to help promote my business. For the last 12 years I have worked for a company and was 1099. Now that I am doing it from home I am still going to be 1099, but my question is about naming my business. I advertise on my cards that my business name is Angela's K-9 Kuts, I have a business account open under that name as well. Is there anything else I need to do. When I file my taxes I am just going to keep it all under my real name like I have been doing in the past. Does anyone know if this is okay or do I need to put that add in the paper for DBA(doing business as)? Thanks so much!!!
